Falling in Love
Bilha Bauman was 26 and Moshe Castel 39 when they met in 1948. He fell in love when he saw her singing at a party in Safed. -
Wed
In 1949, Bilha and Moshe got married in Tel Aviv, in the presence of their parents. -
Creating Ketuba
In 1979 Moshe gave his work "Ketuba" to Bilha for her birthday. -
Choosing Ma'ale Adumim
On a drive to the Dead Sea, the Ma'ale Adumim landscape draws Moshe's attention. Moshe tells Bilha he wants his museum to be located there. -
Mission Set
In 1991, when Bilha was 69 years old, Moshe Castel passed away. As a widow, Bilha's mission was to to build a museum that would serve as a permanent monument to her husband's creativity. -
The Museum
The Moshe Castel Museum of Art in Ma’ale Adumim opened its doors in 2010. -
